Hello! And Happy New Year. I hope you weren’t expecting a light recipe from me to celebrate the beginning of 2018, because I definitely don’t have that for you. Sorry! I’ve never been one to let go of sweets very easily. In fact, I’d say one of my resolutions for 2018 is to eat more dessert. I’m going to live life to the fullest in every sense of the phrase. I just better keep running…
With sugary intentions for myself (and hopefully for you, too), I’ve got these Nutella brownies to share with you. I think it’s safe to say I’m a Nutella convert after making Nutella cookies for Christmas. I’m pretty sure it’d taste good on or in just about anything. Yep, anything. Nutella chicken, anyone? Ooo, imagine Nutella ravioli!
With a boxed brownie mix and suuuper quick and easy frosting, you’ll be enjoying these in no time at all. Delicious dessert certainly does not need to be difficult, guys! Hey, maybe you can use the time you save making these to get in a quick workout… see? I’m keeping you healthy with easy desserts already.
Nutella BrowniesDense and fudge-like Nutella brownies topped with an incredibly simple Nutella “whipped cream” frosting.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
- 1 boxed brownie mix (I used Pillsbury Double Chocolate)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup Nutella
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip
Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8- or 9-inch square pan lightly with nonstick cooking spray, then line with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, oil, water, and Nutella. Stir with a wooden spoon until just mixed. Spread into the prepared pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out nearly clean. Cool the brownies completely before frosting.
Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl, fold the Cool Whip into the Nutella until blended. Spread over the cooled brownies; refrigerate 2 hours before cutting.
